Policies

Booking:
All appointments can be booked here. To book, you will need a valid credit card or a Visa/Mastercard Debit to be held on file. Opting to not keep your card on file could result in your appointment being cancelled. All clients must have a valid credit card on file for bookings. 
Once booked, you'll receive an email with a client intake form + waivers (scroll to the bottom). This needs to be completed before arriving for your appointment.

Payment:
We accept Visa, Mastercard AMEX or Interac. We do not accept cheques or money transfers. Gratuities are not included in the service price listed. Please remember that gratuities are much appreciated for time and services rendered but in no way ever expected. Treatment and product prices are subject to change without notice. 

Arriving Late:
Arriving late will result in your appointment time being shortened. Please note that shortened appointments will not result in a lower price. You will be responsible for the fee of the service you reserved. If you do not arrive on time, your appointment may be treated as a no-show and will be charged the entirety of the service you reserved. This is necessary for our aestheticians to stay on schedule and accommodate our next scheduled client in a timely fashion with our strict  sanitizing procedures.

Rescheduling or Cancelling:
If you need to reschedule or cancel your upcoming appointment we require 24 hours notice. All clients are sent a reminder 48 hours in advance of your appointment to allow ample time to cancel or reschedule if needed. Please note that email reminders are a complimentary service and ultimately it is the clients responsibility to remember their appointment.  To cancel or modify your appointment, please call our front desk at 739-7654 or email hello@thegoldmethod.ca. We cannot accept bookings, modifications or cancellations via Instagram DM's or Facebook messenger. If you cancel through these messengers we may not see it and your appointment may result in being marked as a no show and charged the service fee that was reserved. Cancelling or modifying your appointment needs to be done before 24 hours to ensure we receive your cancellation and can re-fill your spot with someone waiting for an appointment.

If you fail to cancel or reschedule via one of the methods above before 24 hours of your appointment, it will be treated as a last minute cancellation. Anything cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the appointment will be subject to 50% of the service fee.

No Show:
If you fail to show up for your appointment without any notice, your card will be charged the entirety of the service you were reserved for. If your card cannot be processed or you do not have a card on file, we cannot accommodate you for any further bookings until your no-show fee is paid in full.

Additional Policies:

Valuables: Certain services at The Gold Method may require you to remove jewelry. The Gold Method does not assume liability for lost or forgotten personal items. We highly recommend arriving to your appointment without valuable jewelry if at all possible.

Minors: Clients under the age of 18 must have consent from their parents to undergo any service at The Gold Method. Parents must be made aware and acknowledge they understand the cancellation policy.

Returns & Exchanges: Products may be returned or exchanged if there is any form of reaction or a malfunction with packaging. However, if product has been used for a long period of time and more than half has been used/the product is close to empty, a refund/exchange will not be granted. Please see Retail Policies for more information.

We are not held responsible for any injury, loss and or damage to any person or property as a result of any treatment or product, negligence or otherwise.  The aesthetician you are seeing or The Gold Method reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for inappropriate behaviour, anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol, illness listed as contraindications for services or as deemed necessary.  The Gold Method assumes no responsibility for any disclosed or undisclosed illness or personal injury. The Gold Method has the right to change your service without notice as seen fit.  By calling, emailing or scheduling your appointment online or by purchasing product from The Gold Method you are indicating that you understand and accept these terms and conditions outlined above.
